In line with the most of the UK going into a coronavirus Tier 4 lockdown. The Chancellor has extended the furlough scheme for employers and employees for another month from 31st March 2012 to 30th April 2021.
As yet there has been no announcement if the self assesment (tax return) deadline of 31st January 2021 will be extended and it has to assumed that it will not be because the Treasury needs the tax income to pay for government grants, furloughs etc being paid out to support the public.
Therefore it is recommended if you have not had your 2019/20 (6.4.19 to 5.4.20) tax return completed then you urgently get in touch today as the number of working days are fast decreasing with only 26 full days of writing this (weekends are not working days).
